OverviewJoin to apply for the Senior Engineering Manager role at BaubapThe mission : As a Senior Engineering Manager for the Financial Core, you will lead the architecture design and implementation of our financial systems, including but not limited to a Banking Core for savings and investment accounts, a loan management system, payment gateways, SPEI integration, and reporting and reconciliation services for the finance team.

These systems must be resilient, scalable, secure, and compliant.

This position is critical to support future growth and product innovation.ResponsibilitiesLead the timely and budget-conscious launch of a banking core system, determining the most effective path between building in-house or adapting existing platforms.Ensure the banking core system fully complies with SOFIPO regulations, integrating compliance into the system's foundation to support secure and legal operations.Establish a robust and scalable banking core platform that can evolve with the company, accommodating current needs and future expansion into new financial products.Foster enhanced collaboration across technology, product, compliance, and operations teams.Oversee the banking core system's development and integration, ensuring technical and project milestones are met.Work closely with various departments to align the banking core system with company needs and compliance standards.Lead the Banking Core engineering team, managing hiring, performance, and promotions to maintain a high-performance environment.Manage timelines, allocate resources efficiently, and conduct risk assessments to mitigate delays or challenges.Set and track the team's Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), adjusting strategies as needed to achieve milestones aligned with the company's goals.Qualifications & What You BringProven experience in leading the development and integration of banking core systems, preferably within the financial services or fintech sector in Mexico or similar regulatory environments.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for financial institutions, specifically SOFIPOs.Experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects.Proficiency in technology stacks relevant to banking systems (e.g., Java, Python, MySQL) and an understanding of cloud infrastructure.Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.What We OfferBeing part of a multicultural, highly driven team of professionals20 vacation days per year + 75% holiday bonus (Prima Vacacional)1 month (proportional) of Christmas bonus (Aguinaldo)Food vouchersHealth & Life insuranceCompetitive salarySeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyMexico City Metropolitan Area 1 month ago
