Job Description : SAP Basis Consultant

Position Summary

An SAP Basis Consultant is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of SAP systems. They ensure the smooth operation of SAP applications, databases, and underlying infrastructure, collaborating with functional and technical teams to support business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP System Administration : Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ERP, S / 4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, etc.).
• Performance Optimization : Monitor and tune system performance, including memory management, workload balancing, and troubleshooting.
• Upgrades & Migrations : Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, OS / DB migrations, and patch management.
• User Management & Security : Manage roles, authorizations, and access controls to ensure secure system usage.
• Database Administration : Maintain SAP databases (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.), including backup and recovery strategies.
• Transport Management : Handle SAP Transport Management System (TMS) for efficient change deployment.
• Integration & Connectivity : Ensure seamless integration between SAP and non-SAP systems.
• System Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Use SAP Solution Manager and other tools to detect and resolve issues proactively.
• Cloud & Hybrid Environments : Support SAP environments on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Compliance & Documentation : Maintain system documentation and ensure compliance with IT policies and standards.
