A Snapshot of Your Day The position is to providemaintenance to large turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems in the field.
Theposition requires 80%+ travel to power plant sites internationally.
The dailyactivities include leading and directing technicians, supervisors and subcontractorsto do the necessary tasks to serve the equipment, while assuring quality andtechnical procedures are followed.
You will attend site meetings with customers / subcontractorsto coordinate these tasks.
You will be expected to communicate status andlessons-learned to the back-office engineering and management on a consistentbasis.
You must have a mechanical background and be able to read drawings andschematics necessary for the maintenance of the equipment.
Specializing in different frames is possible over the time.
How You'll Make an Impact Direct teams of field serviceengineers, technicians and craft labor personnel in the installation, repairmaintenance and troubleshooting of combustion turbines, steam turbines andgenerators at various customer sites.Coordinate and manage staffingof project team at customer sites.Provide combustion turbineknowledge and expertise to division management, customer management, productline management and suppliers.Implement scope according withSiemens Energy field service procedures.Coordinate with Siemens Energyengineering department to solve service issues on site.Review and execute customercontract requirements.Prepare and forward accuratereports concerning the condition and repairs and recommendations for customerequipment.Responsibility to comply and / or enforce the protocols, policies,guidelines, and competencies of the current integral management system (EHS,Quality).
What You Bring Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering orrelated field.5+ years of experience as a mechanical field serviceengineer.Technical knowledge on combustion turbine, steam turbines,electrical generators and associated auxiliary systemsTeamwork,results-oriented, risk management, adaptability and flexibility in anenvironment with changing requirements and prioritiesProficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and ability tolearn others as needed)Flexibility and willingness for domestic and internationaltravel 80%.
