Combustion Turbine Tuning / Commissioning Field Service Engineer

A Snapshot of Your Day

The major activities include tuning, troubleshooting and commissioning of large gas turbines, also implement improvements, logic changes in the control system.  The position requires 80%+ travel to power plant sites internationally .  You will attend site meetings with customers to review scope advance and unit start up schedule and issues.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Primary contact to customers for the maintenance, troubleshooting and commissioning of large gas turbines.
• Have a wide knowledge of the theory of the combustion process and understanding of the combustion dynamics that occur in Siemens Energy large gas turbine.
• Able to perform combustion tuning on Siemens-Energy SGT6-5000F, SGT6-6000G, SGT6-8000H frame gas turbines. This is to include the procedure for tuning, the process to perform countermeasures for pressure fluctuations and performance of special tuning.
• Work closely with the Siemens Energy project team from planning to completion of service projects, provide start-up commissioning, operations and / or troubleshooting support for equipment failures and determine root cause analysis and implement solutions ensures equipment services and commissioning processes are followed.
• Prepare and forward accurate reports concerning the condition and repairs and recommendations for customer equipment.
• Lead and supervise a I&C technicians’ team to implement the scope when required.
• Implement scope according with Siemens Energy field service procedures and responsable  to comply and / or enforce the protocols, policies, guidelines, and competencies of the current integral management system (EHS, Quality).
