Job description :
- Plan and specify NDT purchases necessary to specification requirements
- Ensure a means of colleting and distributing complied information in order to improve quality
- Read and interpret drawings and other quality control requirements
- Ensure safe practices are used in compliance with all governmental regulations
- Drive lean effort within manufacturing focusing on Quality
- Support and lead projects undertaken by the engineering team un NDT methodology
- This individual must be a motivated, self-starter that canlearn on the fly and take ownership of their tasks
- Create NDT reports that account for all aplicable fetures based on drawings
- Peform machine setups and trials for development projects as necessary
- Identify improvement opportunities in NDT
- Work with outside service providers as needed to support business unit needs
- Present solutions / recommendations to bussines units for capital equipment purchases
- Manage capital equipment purchases by preparing ROI and CAPEX, and furthermore managing the supplier throughout the complete cycle from machine quotations to machine installations
- Communicate with suppliers in a manner that helps achieve bussines needs
- Develop presentations and / or documentation to allow for clear understanding of projects to SAFRAN colleagues
Job profile : - L2 RT or UT
- Must have shop floor experience and knowledge of NDT
- Able to propose tools or changes to methods
- Effective problem-solving skills for job related issues and root cause corrective action
- Ability to meet job and customer requirements
- Ability to follow quality system requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and abilities, maintaining professional interaction with coworkers and any other representative external or otherwise required
- Ability to act and think analytically with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to correctly read and interpret technical data
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques with ability to design robust process
- Experience with other NDT techniques is a plus
