School16 is redefining how universities support students, and we're seeking an accomplished Business Development expert to join our team. Successful candidates must have prior experience and be able to demonstrate their expertise in applications.
Our programs are developed and tested at top universities and venture accelerators, including NYU's Entrepreneurial Institute and Venture for America.
We work closely with tech leaders from Google, Netflix, Slack, and Spotify, and all programs are designed by practitioners to achieve tangible career outcomes for students.
This is an opportunity to collaborate directly with a founding team that has experience in higher education, media, venture capital, and technology.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage outbound prospecting campaigns targeting U.S. higher education decision-makers (e.g. deans, strategy and innovation leaders, student success leaders).
- Utilize AI and automation tools to support research, writing outreach, sequence optimization, repurposing content, scaling touch-points without losing personalization.
- Implement multi-channel outreach (email, LinkedIn, calls, social media engagement), with personalized messaging, follow-ups, and nurture sequences.
- Conduct research on institutions / departments to understand their needs, priorities, pain points (e.g. student placement, employer relationships, program outcomes).
- Handle phone conversations and video calls confidently with senior stakeholders. Effectively communicate the value of School16's programs, partnerships, and outcomes.
- Track outreach metrics (response rates, meeting set rate, conversion to partnership, speed to lead), maintain CRM hygiene.
- Collaborate with marketing, content, product / programs teams to refine messaging, case studies, and other sales collateral.
Requirements :
Native level fluency in English is required. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.1-3 years of experience in SDR / BDR / outbound / partnerships roles, preferably in education, tech, SaaS, or related fields.Demonstrated ability to set meetings / pipeline through outreach. You have done multi-touch sequences, cold outreach, and have a track-record of results.Highly organized and proficient in leveraging AI to maximize output.Relentless at following up to build deep cross-functional relationships with university leaders.Thrives in a small team with a lot of autonomy.Passionate about helping higher education professionals innovate and deliver outcomes to students they serve.Benefits :
