Job Overview
Our client is an international subcontractor, part of one of the world's largest and well-respected main contractors operating on civil engineering and construction projects around the globe.
We are seeking a talented Business Development professional from a Civil Engineering or Hydraulics background to be based in our Mexico City office, with frequent travel across South America.
Key Responsibilities :
- Promote patented civil engineering technology to public entities, engineering companies, and regulatory entities within the hydropower industry.
- Develop sales territory, maintain existing clients, and create new ones.
- Detect new prospects at the early stages of the design process.
- Maintain / store all necessary information related to the market, industry, and clients, to propose plans of action for growing market share.
- Prepare technical and financial proposals in conjunction with the technical office.
- Manage selling and / or marketing activities to close deals.
- Maintain high standards of integrity and ethics when representing the company.
- Liaise with subsidiaries to boost market share.
Profile :
Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering, ideally with additional degree / master's in Business Administration.At least 4 years' post-graduate experience in business development and sales within civil engineering, hydraulic structures, or hydropower sectors.Extensive dam regulatory market knowledge within Mexico is essential, with proven track record of Sales or Business Development.Previous experience working internationally, keen to travel extensively within South and Central America.Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish, ideally with some language skills in French.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Self-starter, autonomous, extremely driven, and used to operating in a high-pressure environment.Application Process :
