Job Description
The Market Development Specialist is the responsible of optimize the company’s revenue and profitability by using analysis and commercial insights to identify trends and opportunities. Work collaboratively with other commercial teams to create robust action plans and solutions, proposing clear targets and ways of measuring success.
Communicate these plans effectively across the commercial organization. Be the owner of a set of markets and be responsible for their commercial performance. Own the Airports and Tourism Authorities Incentives process, project managing the internal process with various internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Internal performance : analyze historical and future our trends to identify revenue and profitability opportunities. Identify the drivers of these trends and work with other Commercial teams to create action plans. Monitor trends and ensure there are clear goals to measure success against
- External performance : analyze historical and future industry data to identify opportunities for us to improve its commercial position in the industry. Work with other Commercial teams to create action plans. Monitor trends and ensure there are clear goals to measure success against
- Provide strategic and consultative support to other areas of the business, including Sales Development, Pricing & Revenue Management, Planning, Ecommerce and Marketing
- Ensure we continually drive efficiencies in team processes, using data skills to automate manual processes
- Project manage our portfolio of incentives from Tourism Authorities. Work with Planning, Finance, Marketing, PR and Sales teams to ensure all funds are used and refunded
- Coordinate new market launches, including supporting analysis. Ensure all teams across the business are ready for launch, both implementation and strategically
- Produce updates on a regular basis to leaders / directors, including the outcome of strategies and business cases, implementing actions and cross-business efforts executed with excellence
Skills required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, required (economics, engineering, finance, management, or related)2 years in analytical business experiences (revenue, planning, forecasting)Good knowledge of macroeconomic trends, economic performance as well as global trends, industry performance and potential market effectsMaturity in the commercial area to understand and follow executive prioritiesExperience in project management desirableExperience in communicating to company leaders, able to tell a story succinctlyCollaborative approach to problem solvingAbility to work in a team with a good degree of initiativeHigh level in MS office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), as well as TableauAbility to handle multiple projects and manage time effectivelyHigh level of English language, written, spoken
