ALTEN Mexico is a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group, a global leader in engineering and technology consulting.ResponsibilitiesBody D&R Engineer responsibilities include engineering, design, development, timing and production release for components and systems such as Body-in-White, Body closures, exterior systems, fascia / bumper, underbody shield, wheel liners, cladding & flares, body exterior moldings, badges, decals and vents, front lighting, EE & signal lighting, fixed glass, wipers, fuel door, and related systems from initial design concept through full volume production.Interface and coordinate packaging with Product Design Office, vehicle development, Exterior and Body Engineering teams, adjacent departments (electromechanical, electrical, lighting, trim), and suppliers to design, develop and release components / systems.Provide feasibility input for development of designs from Product Design Office concepts, sketches, and clay models.Lead quality improvements, weight reduction, cost reduction and other efficiency initiatives, including communicating technical product status to management.Develop functional objectives, build objectives, DVP&R, DFMEA and manage production suppliers to meet all requirements.

Responsible for the release of completed geometry using NX, Teamcenter CAD tools.RequirementsExperience designing and developing BIW (Body in White), Closures, or Exterior Systems.CAD experience with Unigraphics NX, Catia V5 and Teamcenter in a production release environment BIW.Knowledge of high-strength steels / aluminum forming processes, weld parameters and GD&T.Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R and validation plans.Bom creation and edition.Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and / or Reactive Green / Black Belt is a plus.CAE / CFD knowledge.Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
