Staff Engineer - Product Engineering

Location : Monterrey, Nuevo León (Hybrid Position).

Under the functional guidance of Engineering Manager, the Staff Engineer will manage and execute the development of new faucet and sanitary products and the adaptation and redesign of existing products for introduction into various markets.

Responsibilities

• Manages and executes complex engineering projects involving development of new products and changes to existing products including specifications, concept, design, qualification, and verification of products and sub-assemblies.
• Creates and maintains product specifications to meet Kohler and regulatory requirements.
• Applies standard engineering tools such as CAD (CREO), Bill of materials (SAP), GD&T, DFMEA and FEA. Mentors others in the application of these tools.
• Uses engineering tools to ensure robust design of products that meet market needs, cost targets, margin goals, and code requirements.
• Coordinates engineering activities with other functional areas, remote plants, suppliers, and contractors. Actively and effectively supports local plant activities.
• Manages assigned engineers, CAD designers, and support staff which may include test lab technicians, prototype technicians, and other engineering services support staff (e.g., packaging engineering, technical communications).
• Travel : Moderate
