Job Summary

The Senior Salesforce Developer is a key member of the IT - Sales and Service development team and is responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and implementing complex and scalable Salesforce solutions. The role collaborates with stakeholders, business analysts, and other team members to ensure we are meeting the needs of our business partners. The candidate will provide technical leadership to other developers and will offer expertise in development, integration, and best practices to deliver high quality solutions / implementations, as well as recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.

Representative Responsibilities

• Ownership of Salesforce global ecosystem, including all instances, environments, integrations, and data storage / retention policies / processes.
• Lead solution design and development activities on complex projects, both cross functional and within the IT Sales / Service product line.
• Lead end to end solution delivery of Salesforce projects to ensure the outcome meets the business and / or technical needs.
• Integrate internal and external systems : ensure different back-end systems communicate effectively, including third-party APIs, cloud platforms, or internal data services.
• Create and maintain APIs : develop APIs that allow systems to interact and share data.
• Act as a technical champion and advocate for the optimization of Salesforce solutions to support business partners and organizational goals.
• Apply best practices and design patterns of best-in-class applications on the Salesforce platform.
• Create and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data.
• Operate within the dev-ops process, create rollback contingencies and manage applicable back-up solutions.
• Collaborate with data teams to design effective data flows through APIs or middleware tools.
• Establish trusted relationships with business partners, IT team members, IT portfolio leaders, and partners.
• Effectively communicate approach, value, risk, alternatives, and status of progress with leadership, business stakeholders, and IT team members.
• Instruct, direct, mentor, and monitor the technical work of those working on Salesforce projects, including associates and vendors / partners.
• Seek information across the industry to understand new Salesforce technologies, sharing information with stakeholders to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Support tasks such as troubleshooting issues and other ad-hoc requests.
• Participate in on-call support of Salesforce.
