Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Salesforce Solution Architect.
What You’ll Do
Job Summary
This position is responsible for defining and communicating a shared architectural vision for a simple product that supports current and future business needs. As a Systems Architect, you will understand requirements specific to the Salesforce Platform and build solution architectures that meet those requirements. You will collaborate with Agile teams to consider solutions, validate assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and converge on a solution. You will evaluate the technical capabilities of the Salesforce platform, recommend directions, develop architectures for onboarding and integration with other Eaton applications, and evaluate new Salesforce capabilities for future innovation. The System Architect will work closely with Enterprise and Solution Architects to deliver solutions aligned with broader architecture guardrails.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in planning, defining, developing, and designing product solutions and architecture options
- Enable continuous delivery through proper design guidelines
- Define and communicate system interfaces, data structures, storage, integrations, cybersecurity considerations, test automation, and deployment approaches
- Establish and communicate critical nonfunctional requirements
- Consider economic boundaries in design decisions
- Participate in solution planning, demos, and iterative events
- Plan and develop the architectural runway to support business outcomes
- Provide technical oversight, emphasizing security, quality, and automation
- Negotiate with the business to prioritize nonfunctional work, reducing technical debt over time
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or relevant experienceSalesforce.com certification requiredExperience
5+ years in the software industry with a proven record of delivering high-quality products5+ years in the Salesforce spaceTechnical Knowledge
Experience with best practices in software engineeringUnderstanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Manufacturing CloudDevelopment of enterprise-grade, scalable, performant applications or distributed systemsKnowledge of software design principles, patterns, algorithms, data structures, multithreadingUnderstanding of DevSecOps, CI / CD principlesExperience with modern development practices including APIs, microservices, cloud servicesBasic cybersecurity concepts such as encryption, hashing, certificates, threat modeling, secure coding, OWASPExperience with Agile methodologiesFamiliarity with cloud providers like Azure, AWS, GCPExperience with JiraSkills
