Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer .

What You’ll Do

Function as the technical liaison between the supplier and site regarding all quality and improvement issues, manage Incoming Inspection Quality Inspectors, and review and approve supplier´s PPAPs.

• Serve as the functional quality lead for supplier specification quality training for receiving inspection.
• Perform initial assessments and periodic audits of supplier quality systems to approve new suppliers and verify ongoing conformance to quality requirements.
• Initiate and follow up on supplier corrective actions, ensuring root cause analysis and effective implementation.
• Act as liaison to resolve nonconformances and quality issues, communicating with engineering, purchasing, planning, and management teams.
• Participate in the Material Review Board to review and disposition Nonconformance Material Reports.
• Develop metrics to monitor supplier quality control system effectiveness.
• Assist in developing and implementing supplier quality control and process control plans.
• Implement statistical process controls for supplier processes as needed.
• Lead Quality Inspectors in receiving inspection activities.
• Build positive relationships and effective communication channels with suppliers.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, inspection plan development, and FAIR review.
• Review and approve supplier PPAPs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

2-4 years in Supplier Quality Management.

Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.

Experience with MS Windows OS and MS Office preferred.

Preferred experience in Electrical or Metal Mechanical industries.

Supervisory experience and quality audit experience are a plus.

Proficiency with PPAP and FMEA models.

English at a medium level.
