Supplier Quality Engineer – On Site

Join to apply for the Supplier Quality Engineer role at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional to support supplier quality activities on site.

The Job

As a Supplier Quality Engineer , you’ll be part of our Quality Engineering team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to :

  • Monitor component quality and disposition of non-conforming supplier material.
  • Evaluate production line failures related to supplied components with the quality engineer.
  • Create supplier quality issue notification alerts and ensure supplier compliance with SPPAP requirements when necessary.
  • Require return material authorization from suppliers for disposal of defective components.
  • Analyze and communicate PPM performance to suppliers and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Visit and / or conduct quality audits of national and international suppliers as needed.

The Person

You love to learn, be acknowledged for your contributions, and embrace innovation. You should have :

  • 3–5+ years of professional experience with direct proven experience in Supplier Quality Engineering.
  • Certified Quality Engineer through ASQ or Six Sigma Green / Black Belt is a plus; Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
  • Experience with Quality Tools & Six-Sigma (DMAIC, GR&R, Cpk, SPC, DFMEA, PFMEA, problem solving 5Y / 8D).
  • Experience applying quality tools and techniques (SPC, Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP, GD&T, Sampling Plans, Corrective Actions).
  • Strong project management, analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication (written & oral); ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office and database applications (ETQ, Power BI, data warehouse).
