This position is graded at level 12 and reports to the Quality Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead supplier assessments, drive corrective and preventive actions based on supplier maturity and performance, and manage operational supplier quality both on-site and off-site. You will oversee supplier qualification and development processes and manage supplier KPIs. The work location is in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, contributing to the Electrification Business.

  • Drive approval processes for supplier parts, materials, and project subcontractor services, including activities like PPAP and product surveillance.
  • Address supply issues related to quality, deliveries, and non-compliant products promptly.
  • Collaborate with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims when necessary.
  • Ensure thorough execution of supplier development processes to foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • 5+ years experience in metalworking quality, with supplier development experience for copper, aluminum, and steel.
  • Knowledge of electrical products and advanced English skills.
  • Experience with DMAIC methodology and core tools such as FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP.
  • Leadership experience, particularly managing blue-collar teams, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Green Belt certification is desirable.
