Job Title : General Manager, Clinical Services
Location : Guadalajara, Mexico
Compensation : 95,000 – 130,000 MXN monthly + annual performance-based bonus + standard industry benefits
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced General Manager, Clinical Services to lead and optimize clinical operations across multiple functions, including Utilization Review, Physician Advisory, Clinical Denials and Appeals, and CDI. This role will oversee delivery, quality, and client success by managing clinical teams, driving process improvements, and ensuring adherence to performance standards and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare leadership experience, financial acumen, and a proven ability to engage teams and clients in achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Quality
- Lead clinical operations teams to meet or exceed SLAs for production, quality, turnaround time, and compliance.
- Manage quality leaders, SMEs, and audit teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables across multiple specialties.
- Monitor performance metrics, proactively identify risks, and resolve escalations efficiently.
- Represent clinical quality and operations in client meetings (MBR, QBR, ESR), providing data-driven insights.
- Leverage technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external quality and security standards (HIPAA, ISO, etc.).
Leadership & Team Management
Foster a customer-centric, collaborative, and high-performance workplace culture.Lead talent development initiatives, including training, coaching, and succession planning.Partner with HR and vertical leads on recruitment and workforce management strategies.Conduct focused group discussions and performance reviews to support engagement and retention.Client & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Customer Success and vertical leads to strengthen client relationships and support account growth.Lead discussions on operational metrics, escalations, and regulatory updates.Participate in sales processes, RFP responses, resource planning, and new service transitions.Strategic & Operational Impact
Drive process improvement and service line expansion using Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.Oversee financial and P&L management, including budget optimization and multi-site cost control.Provide strategic insights to leadership by analyzing performance data, trends, and market changes.Contribute to organizational initiatives that align operations with long-term business objectives.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or clinical discipline; Master’s (MHA, MBA, MPH, or Nursing Administration) preferred.Licensed clinician (MD, Nurse, or Allied Health Professional) strongly desired.5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, clinical documentation, or related areas.Proven track record in P&L management, budget optimization, and cost control.Strong background in process improvement and project management (Lean Six Sigma experience preferred).Experience leading large clinical teams and implementing talent development programs.Familiarity with healthcare compliance and data privacy regulations (HIPAA required).Fluency in English (written and spoken); strong communication and interpersonal skills.Competencies
