The ideal candidate will have a strong background in U.S. tax preparation and review for both individuals and business entities. You need to be technically proficient, comfortable managing client relationships, and experienced in leading and developing staff. This individual will play a key role in overseeing client engagements, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and contributing to the firm’s continued growth.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and review the preparation of individual (Form 1040) and business tax returns, including corporations (1120, 1120S) and partnerships (1065).
• Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Conduct tax research and stay current on federal and state tax laws and changes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and strategic tax planning.
• Review complex returns, identify potential tax savings opportunities, and advise clients accordingly.
• Manage engagement budgets, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Assist the partner with planning, compliance, and special projects.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities for additional client services.
