Job Summary
1. Category Strategy Development : Develop comprehensive strategies for managing and growing the category based on market research, competitive analysis, customer insights, and sales data.
2. Vendor Relations : Foster strong relationships with existing vendors / sellers and recruit new ones to enhance product variety, negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms and promotions.
3. Sales and Performance Metrics : Monitor and analyze category performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth, operational improvements, and increased profitability.
4. Collaboration and Coordination : Work across company departments to ensure alignment with category strategy and execution of promotional activities.
5. Product Assortment and Merchandising : Oversee and optimize product assortment, ensuring a compelling mix that meets customer demand.
Qualifications
1. Experience : Minimum 3 years experience in category management, sales, or related field within retail or e-commerce environment.
2. Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and quantitative abilities to evaluate complex data, deliver insights, and develop actionable strategies.
3. Communication : Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to cultivate relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams.
