We answer the challenge of illuminating markets and shaping new futures.What We're Looking ForIn this role, you will be editing English-language news and analysis about a wide range of commodity markets throughout the Americas to be published online daily and in weekly reports.
This can include North and South American oil, refined products, natural gas, natural gas liquids, metals, petrochemicals, agriculture and fertilizer industries, as well as pertinent geopolitical news.
Stories will be filed from dozens of reporters throughout the Americas on content that is heavily focused on physical commodity markets.You will be located in Mexico City but report to the Chief News Editor in Houston, Texas, and work closely and collaboratively with a team of other news editors in the Americas and globally to maintain the publishing flow of high-quality news and analysis.What We're Looking For In YouEnglish fluencyA university graduate with demonstrated experience and skill in journalism, both reporting and editingThe ability to edit and publish steady stream of daily copy from a variety of industries and commodity markets with minimal oversight once trainedThe ability to not just find and correct errors, but decipher unclear language and poor story structure to improve copyA basic understanding of markets, both financial and physical : Experience covering physical commodity markets is a plusThe ability to work in a team atmosphere with other editors and reporters to stay on top of breaking and ongoing storiesGoal-oriented collaboration skills, with strong diplomatic, analytical and problem-solving abilityExperience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn other software platformsWhat's In It For YouOur rapidly growing, award-winning business offers a dynamic environment for talented, entrepreneurial professionals to achieve results and grow their careers.
