What you'll do

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for our Payments team to lead backend service design and development, playing a key role with high visibility and ownership. Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to architect scalable, secure, and reliable payment systems for Latin America.

Your responsibilities include :

• Designing and developing backend services with Java , Spring , and Spring Boot
• Architecting and maintaining microservices and distributed systems for scalability and resilience
• Designing and optimizing RESTful APIs and managing data models across databases like PostgreSQL , MySQL , MongoDB , and DynamoDB
• Building event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar platforms
• Contributing to system design and architectural decisions aligned with product and business needs
• Mentoring junior engineers and fostering technical excellence
