Energy & Project Manager MX
Objective
Develop and implement energy strategies that align energy production, renewable sourcing, and fuel transition with long-term sustainability goals and industry best practices.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of decarbonization strategies supporting Net Zero targets.
- Integrate emission and pollution reduction goals into plant operations, ensuring compliance with corporate sustainability standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and manage energy and sustainability projects with defined milestones, timelines, and financial assessments.
- Ensure legal compliance and report on emissions, energy use, and pollution reduction using robust data management systems.
- Drive ISO 50001 implementation and maintain audit-ready data integrity.
- Monitor performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to meet environmental targets.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to optimize energy efficiency, reduce costs, and replace fossil fuels.
Position Requirements
Master’s degree – DesirableBachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or sustainabilityAt least 5 years of experience in projects / energy management, with extensive knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, preferably in the aluminum or foundry industry, and good understanding of energy markets and emission management.Over 5 years of managerial experience in large-scale, multinational companies, leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives in complex operational environments.Advanced English proficiency is required, with superior communication and presentation skills preferred.Nemak values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (D&I) as fundamental to our culture.
