Skills / Experience
- Education : Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or Taxation
- Experience : 10 years of experience in taxation, VAT recovery, and resolving queries from the tax authority. Experience in the Consumer Goods sector (food, pharmaceutical, health, beauty, etc.) is desirable.
- Knowledge : Strong expertise in Mexican tax laws, US GAAP, and MX GAAP
- Technical skills : SAP, Advanced Excel
- Languages : Intermediate level of English
- Soft skills : Leadership, teamwork, presentation skills
Key Responsibilities
Validates monthly, quarterly, and annual tax calculationsEnsures the timely implementation of new tax regulations across the enterprise.Ensures the prompt recovery of VAT receivables.Provides tax strategies that comply with legal requirements.Participates in tax forums and other chambers of commerce to stay informed about upcoming tax changes.Provides visibility on tax matters to the country''s administration.Responds to inquiries from tax authorities and maintains a proactive relationship with the relevant authoritiesWorks with relevant departments to ensure compliance with REPSE requirements.Supports Transfer Pricing studies.Assists with corporate strategies, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.Supports both external and internal auditsSeniority level
