Medical Co-lead, Xtandi
Purpose & Scope :
- Oversee the deployment of tactical field plans for engagement with the medical / scientific community for a product.
- Lead, manage, and develop the Medical TA Lead and other reports to become a trusted advisor for external stakeholders.

Essential Job Responbibilities :
Field Medical Leadership
Support leadership to lead Field Medical staffing requirements for identified product(s).Scientific and Interaction ExpertiseHighly knowledgeable on Astellas’ therapeutic areas, key compounds, disease states, studies, and associated studies and publications.Highly Knowledgeable on competitor landscape for Astellas’ key compounds.Highly proficient in scientific exchange to foster KEE relationships, to understand stakeholder needs in order to deliver medical plan, and to develop actionable medical insights.Co-leading the Brand Plan(s) in Therapeutic Area
Interpreting, applying, and communicating findings from regular field interactions to appropriate AFM colleagues. Integrating findings from the field into brand plans.Identifying and communicating business andscientific trends in the national healthcare environment. Integrating market and healthcare trends into brand plans. Attendingkey national or regional scientific meetings. Functioning as meeting coordinator as opportunities arise and reporting findings to AFM colleagues. Assisting and mentoring others in the development of content for advisory boards and reporting back key findings. Serving as advisory board leader when appropriate. Significantly contributing to the outcomeof a national or cross-functional project. Identifying specific training needs and providing training support to other departments. Identifying, qualifying and recommending appropriate Therapeutic Area KEEs for participation in Astellas clinical studies. Collaborating with internal customers, meeting with / updating Sales Managers, and attending Plan of Action (POAs) meetings. Identifying and recommending appropriate Therapeutic Area KEEs to participate on speakers bureau and / or Advisory Boards. To develop and execute Medical Plans for Therapeutic Area products.People Leadership

Educational Background : Master’s Degree in Health-Related Sciences or MDYears of Experience : Minimum 3-5 years scientific / medical experience in research-based pharmaceutical industry in the areas of Medical Affairs or DevelopmentKey competencies :
