Your role involves optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, implementing security measures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business operations and data-driven decision-making.What you'll doDesign, develop, and implement database solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.Optimize database performance through efficient schema design, indexing strategies, query optimization, and performance tuning.Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across databases through backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.Implement and enforce database security measures, access controls, and data encryption to protect sensitive information.Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and IT teams to integrate database systems with applications and analytics platforms.Monitor database health, performance metrics, and resource utilization to proactively identify and resolve issues.Develop and maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures for database systems.Stay updated with emerging database technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Master's degree preferred.Proven experience of 5 years as a Database Engineer, Database Administrator, or related role in managing enterprise-level databases.Strong expertise in database design, development, implementation, and administration using relational database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

Proficiency in SQL programming, stored procedures, triggers, and database scripting languages.Experience with database performance monitoring tools, backup / recovery solutions, and data modeling tools.Knowledge of database security practices, data encryption, access controls, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
