Mission
The Senior Manager of Demand is responsible for defining and executing the strategic demand planning agenda, enabling comprehensive visibility, alignment, and reliability of forecasts across the organization. This role leads the transformation of demand planning into a value-generating function by incorporating advanced analytics and promoting the S&OP / IBP cycle.
Main Purposes Of The Job
- Lead Forecast Strategy and Execution : Define and execute the end-to-end demand planning strategy, integrating statistical models, market intelligence, and business insights to generate reliable forecasts across multiple time horizons.
- Advance S&OP / IBP Maturity : Own the demand input into the S&OP / IBP cycle, ensuring alignment between commercial expectations and operational capabilities through cross-functional collaboration.
- Guide Demand Analytics and Performance : Monitor forecast KPIs (e.g., BIAS, MAPE, accuracy), conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement and accountability.
- Manage and Mentor the Planning Team : Build and lead a high-performing team of demand planners, fostering analytical capabilities, collaboration, and a business-oriented mindset.
- Champion Systems, Tools, and Digitalization : Ensure data integrity and effectiveness of demand planning systems (e.g., SAP APO, IBP, Forecast Pro), while promoting automation and planning best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Insight Generation : Act as a strategic business partner to Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain, providing proactive insights to inform commercial decisions and support agile planning.
- Scenario and Risk Planning : Conduct scenario modeling to evaluate potential risks and opportunities, supporting contingency planning and improving forecast responsiveness.
- Executive Reporting and Forecast Governance : Deliver regular forecast reviews and insights to senior leadership, ensuring transparency, alignment, and informed decision-making across the organization.
