Responsibilities
- Oversee the full life cycle of capital assets, from procurement to retirement.
- Develop and implement strategies for capital asset acquisition, utilization, and lifecycle management
- Ensure adherence to financial and regulatory guidelines related to asset management.
- Lead and conduct physical asset inspections and as tagging for inventory control
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly reports and statements related to capital assets, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other accounting standards.Maintain detailed records of capital assets and prepare reports for leadership.Works closely with management to ensure alignment with the approved annual budgetCapital Asset Accounting
Maintain accurate records of acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and asset valuations.Ensure adherence to internal controls, tax regulations, and financial policies concerning capital assets.Leads implementation of Oracle Fixed Asset module for North America, including configuring asset categories, system controls, depreciation methods, and asset books. Including the development of policies and processes as needed.Financial Planning & Budgeting
Support financial planning and budgeting by analyzing capital expenditure trends.Assist in assessments to ensure optimal asset utilization and return on investment.Cross-Functional Collaboration and Team Management
Work with finance, operations, and procurement teams to align asset strategies with business objectives.Collaborate with senior management to align asset management strategies with organizational goals.Leads a team by developing talent and cultivating high-performance cultureOther

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven experience in capital asset management, financial planning, or investment analysisExperience managing large capital assets, financial portfolios, or capital expenditure (CapEx) budgetsStrong knowledge of GAAP and / or IFRS.Proactive approach towards issues resolutionsStrong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and asset valuationAnalytical thinking to evaluate asset performance and financial impact.Strategic decision-making to optimize asset utilization and lifecycle management.Communication and negotiation skills for coordinating with stakeholders, vendors, and executives.Attention to detail to ensure compliance and effective asset tracking.Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilitiesProficiency in enterprise asset management (EAM) or financial software such as SAP or Oracle (preferred).People and Team ManagementEducation Level : Bachelor’s degree
