Role Summary
The Calibration Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the calibration department, ensuring equipment is calibrated according to process requirements, and maintaining optimal lab operations. This role supervises calibration engineers / technicians, manages documentation, coordinates with suppliers, and ensures compliance with quality and environmental systems.
Reports to : Laboratory Manager
Backup Position : Calibration Engineer / Quality Engineer (Lab)
Location : Apodaca
Language Requirement : English – 40% desirable
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full execution of the system gauge calibration program
- Supervise calibration activities and assign tasks to team members
- Maintain equipment in optimal condition
- Promote teamwork within and across departments
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and internal regulations
- Keep work areas clean and organized (5S)
- Support health contingency protocols inside and outside the organization
- Prepare, review, and implement documentation for quality and environmental systems
- Select and manage external calibration services and equipment purchases
- Train staff to ensure safety and operational excellence
Knowledge & Skills
Dimensional metrology : vernier, micrometer, indicator dialForce metrology : pressure gauges, dynamometers, load cells, scales, testing machinesElectrical metrology : multimeters, clamp ammeters, resistance metersVolume metrology : pipettes, test tubes, pygnometersUncertainty calculationsProficiency in Word, PowerPoint, ExcelUnderstanding of quality and environmental management systemsAwareness of environmental aspects, risks, and opportunitiesQualifications
