This position is esponsible for carrying out financial and administrative activities, managing operational accounting, and preparing financial statements in accordance with NIF and tax requirements. The role also involves reviewing tax calculations, managing and liaising with auditors, external advisors, and intercompany teams.
Key outputs : Accounting :
Prepare and oversee the entry of financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Analyze and prepare financial statements in accordance with tax and financial standards (IFRS).
Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and month-end closing activities
Taxes :
Determine and supervise monthly tax calculations in compliance with each entity’s obligations.
Validate the accurate and timely filing of monthly and annual tax returns.
Ensure ongoing compliance with all tax obligations.
Payroll :
Calculate, review, and validate monthly payroll, ensuring it reflects the incidents and requirements submitted by the HR department.
Support HR in managing employee registrations, terminations, and salary modifications.
Ensure payroll meets fiscal requirements and proper configuration.
Validate compliance with other authorities such as IMSS and INFONAVIT.
Administrative :
Prepare working papers to ensure accurate monthly invoicing.
Validate that invoicing complies with Mexican tax requirements.
Manage internal invoicing, submit for approval, and coordinate payment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
3-4 years of experience in general accounting.
Strong knowledge of Mexican tax laws, international treaties, and financial reporting standards (NIF / IFRS).
Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (Contpaqi, Nomipaqi, ERP, etc.).
Basic to intermediate English.
Strong analytical skills, confidentiality, and high professional ethics.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, fully graduated. 2 years of work experience on Accounting or Accounts Receivable (AR) for Produce / Retail customers with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) protocols. English required. Advanced level and business vocabulary needed. Desirable experience in fruit or berry industries but not exclusive. Functional / Tecnical Knowledge of ERP and Microsoft office (Excell intermediate) Electronic data interchange protocols Knowledge to use vendor portals Soft Skills Capable of working in a virtual environment, Strong communication and analytical skills, Customer service orientes, Focus driven, problem solver, Collaboration as a team member, Open to cultural differences (time frame differences).
