Our continued success depends on itPosition Overview : We are looking for a highly motivated, performance driven, knowledgeable and detail-oriented Senior Tax Analyst to be part of our expanding finance organization in Guadalajara as part of the Corporate Global Tax Team.
The ideal candidate will execute the tax compliance processes for our operations in Mexico, requiring a deep understanding of Mexican tax laws and the ability to develop enhanced hi tech solutions to satisfy the tax information demands of the business.
This role involves working directly with the Mexico Tax Manager and collaborating with finance team on diverse tax matters research, aiming to ensure the business adherence to the federal, state and local regulation.Responsibilities : Preparation of the monthly income tax returns and related documents in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.Monthly preparation of working papers to support the calculation and reporting of Value Added Tax (VAT) position and payment of any VAT due.Prepare various monthly account reconciliations to ensure proper accounting treatment of deductible expenses, VAT and IT withholding.Completion of Information return on related party transactions ("DIM").
Monthly filing of statutory electronic accounting reports.Assist in the VAT refund processes.Analyze historical financial and tax information to complete SAT request for information.Assist in a variety of tax related projects and tax research.Attend professional development and training sessions to stay current with tax legislative matters and technical issues.Required Education And ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.5 - 7 years of experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting.2+ years of experience handling VAT refund processes.Proficient in the preparation of monthly tax compliance and reporting requirementsDeep understanding and experience with electronic invoicing and real-time reporting requirements in Mexico.Good communication skills in both, English and Spanish languages.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Power Point.
Strong Excel skills requiredPreferred QualificationsPostgraduate tax education preferredExperience with SAP S4 / Hanna, Alteryx or other automation tools is a plus.Physical RequirementsN / ALocation : This position is hybrid work at our Guadalajara Office.Minimal travel required
