We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with strong expertise in U.S. GAAP and property accounting. The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years of accounting experience , including at least 2+ years in property accounting (journal entries, monthly close, GAAP books). Experience in senior housing is strongly preferred, though we are open to candidates with multi-site accounting backgrounds. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes for multiple entities.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure timely reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Support audits by providing required schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Collaborate with property managers, regional finance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of property-level financials.
- Identify and recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).6+ years of accounting experience , with minimum 2+ years in property accounting .Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.Experience in senior housing industry strongly preferred; multi-site accounting experience also considered.Proven ability to manage month-end close processes independently.Strong Excel and ERP / accounting systems skills.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams.Preferred Skills
