What we’re looking for
We are looking for a Data Analyst who will support the investment team by transforming data into insights. You’ll analyze startup ecosystems, build dashboards, and streamline reporting to help identify opportunities and make smarter investment decisions.
Responsibilities — what you'll do
- Analyze startup databases and financial metrics to uncover early-stage investment opportunities.
- Track industry trends, deal activity, and portfolio performance.
- Support research efforts for new markets, sectors, and technologies.
- Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs and market developments.
- Maintain and improve internal databases of companies, contacts, and industry benchmarks.
- Automate routine data tasks using Excel, SQL, or lightweight scripting.
- Assist in preparing reports, visuals, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support due diligence processes with data summaries and benchmarking.
- Collaborate with associates and partners to deliver data-informed recommendations.
- Help roll out native AI solutions across the firm to improve efficiency and deal quality.
- Help identify better deals and analyze opportunities to support smarter investment decisions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or consulting.Prior experience in startups or venture capital firms is strongly preferred; a demonstrated interest is a plus.Advanced Excel skillsProficiency in Python or RSQL for querying structured datasetsFamiliarity with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or LookerAbility to work U.S. business hours (Pacific Time, Central Time, or Eastern Time)This position is for serious, career-oriented candidatesQualities we look for
