As a Data Analyst II , you’ll be responsible for producing reports from data sets originating across Microsoft’s broader consumer business, to ensure compliance with regulatory and compliance obligations such as Europe’s Digital Services Act (DSA) and UK’s Online Safety Act (OSA). You’ll work closely with policy makers, legal experts, product managers and external partners to ensure that DigiTS broader solutions are aligned with Microsoft’s values and standards, as well as the needs and expectations of Microsoft’s customers.

Responsibilities
- Apply in-depth knowledge of the business to proactively anticipate questions and develop data frames and analytical solutions required to meet Microsoft’s legal and transparency requirements related to content moderation.
- Guide the production of legal, compliance and regulatory reports. Validate that data meets regulatory requirements and complies with governance rules; ensure work activities and results align with principles and controls; identify and address the impact of updated regulations on work activities and results.
- Apply expertise to data sources and determine optimal methods for integrating data; address business questions and guide teammates on solutions.
- Share insights and analytical expertise to tell stories of analysis through dashboards, reports, internal forums, and more. Partner cross-functionally to advise on experimental design and determine innovative methods for sharing insights.
- Identify and promote methods that increase efficiency in core work and socialize optimal methods for sharing and scaling insights. Understand the relationship between analytical models, coach junior engineers as needed, and present results to senior stakeholders.
- Leverage relationships across teams to ensure alignment and drive adoption of recommended data sources and analysis practices. Maintain expertise in privacy requirements and address impact of updated guidance on work activities and results.
- Identify and promote methods that create reusable, self-service analytics and reporting that drive meaningful interpretation of data and business decisions.

Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysisOR Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysisOR equivalent experience.Fluency in Spanish and EnglishOther Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings : Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications
3+ years professional experience producing regulatory reports such as Europe’s Digital Services Act (DSA) and UK’s Online Safety Act (OSA) or equivalent.5+ years experience with SQL, data modeling, ETL, real time pipelines and analytics platforms (Azure Data Warehouse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, etc).5+ years experience using Microsoft & Azure tools, including PowerBI, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Explorer, Azure Synapse or equivalent experience.5+ years experience with owning large data sets, including anomaly / outlier detection, data quality and validation.2+ years professional experience developing and maintaining large scale, distributed backend services using cloud native platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS or Google Cloud.Experience owning data analysis for both consumer (B2C) and enterprise (B2B) customers.Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
