JOB SUMMARY :

Working under the framework of the Polaris Production System (PPS), leads continuous improvement initiatives, assesses current business performance, identifies gaps, establishes and implements improvement plans, monitors progress, and shares / acquires best-in-class ideas and processes. Responsible for Lean project execution. Ensures the facilities obtain budgetary goals set for lean manufacturing projects through partnering with campus production teams and management. Trains production teams, plans and executes lean workshops, and documents and reports results.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION :

Bachelor's degree in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering or Business, or equivalent work experience required. Prior manufacturing experience. Has shown initiative, the desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations. Has solid leadership skills and strong lean systems expertise. Has a solid understanding of manufacturing and lean principles, including Process Controls, Heijunka, SMED, VSM, Kanban, GEMBA & Material flow. Intermediate computer skills (experience with Excel and Power BI are desirable). Has sufficient experience within the company to be able to understand the organization and its business products and processes. A strong interest in process and quality improvement and the ability to provide leadership desirable. Ability to communicate effectively in verbal, written, and presentation skills. Has demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority.
