About Jeff — Jeff is a financial technology startup that addresses the issue of financial underservice by building financial product comparison marketplaces that connect consumers and financial service providers using data from digital footprints. Our goal is to unlock financial services for the underbanked, with a clear focus on emerging economies that will drive the global economy in decades to come. Launched in Vietnam in 2020, Jeff has grown to a 40+ person team across 6 countries. To date, we have helped 10+ million customers in Vietnam, the Philippines, Mexico, Colombia and others to compare more than 100 million financial products. We are building the leading comparison marketplace for emerging markets and are looking for a highly driven and experienced Country Manager to lead our market growth in Mexico.
The ideal candidate has strong sales and business development skills, deep knowledge of banking, insurance, or investment sectors, and an established network of local financial institutions. You will be responsible for identifying key local partners, building strong commercial relationships, and adapting our core product strategy to fit local market needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s expansion in Mexico
- Build and manage relationships with banks, insurance providers, investment firms, and other key partners
- Identify market opportunities and initiate strategic partnerships
- Drive local revenue growth and ensure alignment with global KPIs
- Adapt product positioning and marketing strategies to local context
- Represent the brand in the country and participate in relevant events
- Work closely with HQ in areas like product, marketing, legal, and operations
- Maintain local presence with reporting directly to the Business Owner based in Latvia
Qualifications
5+ years in sales, business development, or partnerships in the financial industryStrong understanding of digital banking and financial services landscapeTrack record of closing high-value partnerships and scaling financial productsExperience launching or scaling businesses in emerging markets is a plusExisting network in the local financial industry is requiredBasic understanding of local regulatory and compliance aspectsAbility to work independently and in a fast-paced environmentFluent in English and SpanishValues
