About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Spring Boot & Microservices Lead with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and GCP . The ideal candidate will lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise-grade applications, while also being hands-on in coding and solution design.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Spring Boot microservices-based applications .

Define and implement microservices architecture best practices (API-first, event-driven, domain-driven design).

Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards and architecture principles.

Collaborate with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.

Manage deployments and CI / CD pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .

Guide the team on containerization (Docker / Kubernetes) and cloud-native deployments.

Conduct code reviews, mentoring, and technical training for junior developers.

Drive automation, observability, monitoring, and logging best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices .

Proven experience in leading development teams (technical leadership, code quality, mentoring).

Strong hands-on experience with :

Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST APIs, Event-driven systems

Cloud platforms (preferably GCP) – Cloud Run, GKE, Pub / Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, etc.

CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).

Databases – SQL (Postgres / MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Firestore, Redis).

Strong knowledge of scalability, performance tuning, and security best practices .

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in hybrid mode (collaborating with onsite / offshore teams).

Good to Have

Experience with API Management tools (Apigee, Kong, etc.).

Familiarity with DevOps & Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) .

Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).

Experience in retail, e-commerce, or banking domains .
