Functional Tester

TCS is looking for aFunctional TesterWork modality : Hybrid(Candidate needs to be located or relocate to Querétaro, CDMX, Guadalajara or Monterrey, it will be requested to attend office at least 3 day per week)Job summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveFunctional Testerto join our QA team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in manual and automated functional testing, with the ability to take full ownership of quality assurance across the software development lifecycle.

The role requires a mix of functional validation, test design, automation skills, and collaboration across teams.Required Skills : Advanced English (interviews will be conducted in this language)Min.

3 years of experience in manual and automation testingGood understanding of SDLC / STLC and Agile methodologies.Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).

Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured is a plus.Key Responsibilities : Perform end-to-end functional, regression, and integration testing across web and mobile applications.Develop and execute detailed test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on business and technical requirements.Hands-on experience with at least one automation tool such as MABL , Selenium , or similar tools.Actively participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups , ensuring test coverage for all new features.Report defects with clear documentation and collaboration with developers to ensure timely resolution.Demonstrate a proactive mindset with a problem-solving attitude—taking complete ownership of assigned tasks.Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases and maintain test documentation for audit and release purposes.Contribute to test automation framework development and CI / CD integration (nice to have).
