Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to supports the procurement team in sourcing and purchasing goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and ensuring timely delivery. This role involves supplier communication, order processing, data management, and coordination with internal departments to meet purchasing needs.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Team in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon focusing on the sourcing and replenishment of direct or indirect materials from pre-assigned U.S.-based suppliers.

You will be mainly accountable for :

• Initiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring, and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements.
• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions. Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval.
• Assist in sourcing suppliers and evaluating quotations based on price, quality, and delivery time.
• Place purchase orders and track their status to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and update supplier information. Support negotiations with vendors regarding pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse and planning teams.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Resolve issues related to delivery delays, shortages, or quality concerns. Prepare regular reports on purchase activities and supplier performance.
