This Position reports to :

EL Customer Operations Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organization and its customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. This role is contributing to the ELECTRIFICATION team and stakeholders.

Main Accountabilities :

1. Sales support - Offers technical advice and provides comment on specifications for customers / channels / Sales Engineers regarding ABB products / systems / applications. Provides technical support during technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations.

2. Project Execution - Plans and implements multiple simultaneous electrical projects at various customer work sites in the US, including the activities of staff and subcontractors. Identifies and manages opportunities to expand projects in ways that bring value to our customer and satisfy profitability requirements, including change orders. Meets or exceeds loading targets based on team requirements.

Electrical projects will be focused in the commercial construction markets and may include, but are not limited to, retail, airports, entertainment, hospitals, education (schools, colleges, universities), multi-story residential and water / waste-water treatment plants.

3. Customer Representation - Serves as the primary customer contact for the duration of each project. May commission, resolve specification issues, handle correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure customer satisfaction, and negotiate / coordinate with staff as appropriate.

4. Presentations - Prepares and delivers technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues.

5. Training - Offers product / solution / service-related training to customers and other stakeholders.

6. Technical Documentation - Prepares and checks technical documents for submittal to customers.

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

Minimum 3 years of experience in a project management, engineering or manufacturing role.

Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a matrix team / organization, including leading cross-cultural teams.

High energy level, self-starter, highly analytical, and strong customer service.

Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and sense of urgency in dealing with tasks.

Experience in electrical manufacturing for switchboards, transformers, panelboards, motor control centers, and / or other electrical components.
