About the Job : Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, this position is a key role in developing then executing our strategies with responsibility for sourcing metal-based components, globally. Our focus is on Aluminum, Steel, Metal Fabrication, and Castings. We want to utilize our global leverage to regionally achieve the best value in cost, quality, reliability, service, and support. This role will co-ordinate cross functional relationships, including product development / engineering, materials management, local purchasing, operations, finance and aftermarket. Responsibilities include but are not limited to : - Responsible for identifying, evaluating, on-boarding and managing relationships with Mexican-based fabricators - Act as the intermediary between Terex and the supplier, providing project management leadership / driving your projects through implementation - Flexibility to support executive driven projects, ranging from internal cost vs outsourcing, network design, inventory management, and multi-tier directed buy programs - Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain a resilient and cost-effective supply chain - Develops and implements material indexing mechanisms where necessary to maintain cost control over pricing - Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes and new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions. - Drives continuous improvement and business simplification efforts, effectively building Terex for long term success - Maintains conduct consistent with company policy, operating procedures, accepted practices and applicable laws - This above description is non-exhaustive and there may be additional duties in accordance with the role About You : - Batchelor's degree with focus on procurement, supply chain, engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. - 5+ years' work experience in the manufacturing industry dealing with suppliers, ideally in the area of steel fabrications - Strong procurement and strategic sourcing background with focus on direct materials. - Understanding of Make or Buy. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. - Excellent project management skills and used to work in integral, cross-functional teams. - Proven supplier management and negotiation skills; able to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all involved parties. - Strong problem solving aptitude and excellent analytical skills plus high proficiency in MS Office products. - Strong communication and listening skills. - Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken) Travel : Must be willing and able to travel (travel is estimated at 25% rising to 50% during periods of supplier assessment and selection).
