Associate Project Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Work closely with technical lead and / or manager to manage all aspects of project including schedule, budget, documentation, contracts, and account receivables.2. Manage activities on multiple projects, with project team, customers and subcontractors, working to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.3. Assist in the development and negotiation of proposals and project cost estimates.4. Assist in ensuring project procedure compliance and document control5. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.6. Understand. Create. Simplify.7. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Related bachelor’s degree3+ years of project support experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including MS ProjectAbility to work independently, multi-task, and prioritizeStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skillsAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentBackground check results satisfactory to SELNegative drug test results(s)

Preferred Qualifications

Related master’s degreeUtility, commercial, or industrial contracts experienceKnowledge of accounting principlesExperience with project management software

Focus Area = Project Management

Project Manager = Full life-cycle project management of multiple large multi-discipline projects from proposal conception to commissioning and close-out. Effectively track and stabilize projects, implement solutions for obstacles and anticipate customer needs.
