RESPONSIBILITIES

• Qualify and onboard new suppliers; lead main terms with Legal / Compliance.
• Track and report NPI sourcing KPIs; hand off to Production teams at launch.
• Responsibilities include monitoring the backlog, identifying any potential problems that may prevent on-time delivery to our customers and recommending solutions whenever possible.
• Ensures the timely review of MRP requirements to ensure on-time deliveries of goods and services as well as ensuring the accuracy of various ERP parameters related to the purchasing function.
• Meets regularly with management and other support functions (Engineering, Design, Manufacturing and Accounting) to help ensure execution of the business plan.
• Monitors and assists, as needed, with corrective actions issued to the purchasing function.
• Negotiate target costs / should cost, and drive to goals without schedule risk.
• Secure long lead items and tooling; manage capacity and material risk.
• Maintain accurate item masters / BOMs, lead times, and pricing in ERP.
