GENERAL FUNCTION
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and implementing HR-related requirements and employment laws across EssilorLuxottica Operations in Chihuahua and Tijuana. This includes the development and administration of policies, processes, and trainings that minimize the Company’s legal risk and align with business objectives across Mexico.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and evaluate HR- related risk areas / trends and their impact to Company stakeholders (e.g., brands, locations, individuals, etc.).
- Create and revise HR policies, processes and measures to comply with legal requirements and / or identified risks, but also minimize impact on business operations
- Design and implement strategies, tools, and trainings to educate associates, drive HR Compliance, and promote accountability across the EssilorLuxottica organization
- Benchmark HR process, system, and topic-specific best practices with other leading manufacturing organizations.
- Recommend appropriate action as subject matter expert / point of escalation on various employment law topics and HR-related Company policies / processes.
- Lead content development, delivery, and administration of internal HR resources including, but not limited to, Employe Handbook, Manager Handbook, and other HR policy updates.
- Coordenate the aligment between Employee Relations local and regional (North America).
- Collaborate with Operations and other Shared service partners on the development and / or outsourcing of HR training programs, including course and job aid content, delivery methodology and evaluation of training effectiveness.
- Oversee development of HR onboarding materials, including, but not limited to, regulatory and Company mandated documents, instructions, and trainings.
- Coordinate and oversee development and delivery of annual HR requirements, including state mandated notices and other labor law posters.
- Identify HR process improvement opportunities and lead cross-functional teams to execute improvement plans
- Respond to audit, and other requests that relate to employment law compliance and / or Company HR practices
- Execute Legal Department directives to fulfill requirements arising out of administrative proceedings, government audits, court orders, etc.
- Maintain close working relationships with Legal Department, Employee Relations, HR Business Partners, Communication teams, HR Operations, and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee support to legal counsel and HR on compliance
- Work closely with the legal department and other regulatory functions within the organization to ensure company leadership and compliance in all HR areas.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in human resources, legal or business or related field7 to 10 years’ experience in HR Compliance, Employment Law or Human ResourcesExperience with national employment lawsPrevious experience with project plans and management functional groupsPrevious experience with policy and process implementation and managing operational changeAbility to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize as necessaryExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent negotiation and leadership skillsStrong organization and time management skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Juris Doctorate or Master’s degreePrevious work experience in a dynamic, large company environmentPrevious experience in manufacturing
