With 100 years of operation under our belt and an average employee tenure of 15 years, come discover what makes Toro Company the best place in Ciudad Juarez to build a career.Job PurposeResponsible for ensuring the correct specification, validation, maintenance, and improvement of plastic injection molds, contributing to the achievement of quality, cost, and time objectives in the molding area.

Provide technical support throughout the mold design and lifecycle, integrating solid knowledge of the plastic injection process to optimize tooling efficiency.

Provides and distributes information on components, tools, and mold design; reviews repair and replacement requests and recommends actions.

Participates in troubleshooting mold production and evaluating potential cost savings.

Assists in developing simultaneous processes that will help minimize lead times.What are the most common activities?

In order to grow and build a successful career at The Toro Company, you will be responsible for : Provide technical support in the design, procurement, testing, and validation of new injection molds.Coordinate and monitor preventive and corrective mold maintenance.Analyze recurring failures and propose improvements to increase tool life.Actively participate in continuous improvement activities related to molds and processes.Perform mold flow analysis and interpret results for optimization.Collaborate with process engineering to establish optimal injection parameters.Ensure molds meet dimensional and quality specifications.Document changes or modifications made to molds (technical history).

Coordinate major repairs or modifications with external suppliers.Manage the approval of new molds (T0, T1, PPAP, etc.).

Acts as a representative of the new product and cross-functional teams to help design and coordinate the acquisition of tooling, fixtures, and test equipment.Works closely with the purchasing department to ensure suppliers are involved as early as possible in the design of new products.Provides technical skills in tooling design evaluation, problem resolution, cost control, and quality control.Selects suppliers for new mold manufacturing.

Audits mold suppliers, adhering to delivery schedules for new / modified tooling and mold replacement and maintenance.Estimates lead times for new / modified tooling and tool replacement and maintenance.Participates in the preparation of cost estimates and information on tooling used by project teams.Identifies and applies new tooling processes and technologies for efficiency and cost reduction.Acts as a liaison between the tool shop, suppliers, materials, and product development teams to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.Mold validation and transfer.Performs engineering modifications to molds based on drawings.Monitors the activity of external suppliers by providing precise instructions and evaluating their quality and effectiveness.Determines the frequency and preventive maintenance activities for each mold to ensure its performance in production.The full job description will be provided to the final candidate at the point of the offer.Work EnvironmentMay require domestic and international travel.What do you need?

To be considered for this position, an individual must meet the following minimum requirements : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or related Engineering.Six to eight (6-8) years of experience in similar role.CAD Software (Solid Works, AutoCad, Catia)Injection mold design and operation (conventional, hot runner, multiple cavities, etc.)Injection processes (parameters, cycles, thermoplastic materials)Reading and interpreting 2D / 3D drawings.Knowledge of geometric tolerancing (GD&T)Great communication skills at all levels.Fully bilingual English / Spanish - Resumes will be required in English.Preferred RequirementsProject Administration.Lean Standard Work.What can we offer you?
