As part of Perficient, the QA Engineer is a critical team member who will help to ensure that a solution fits the needs of the client's stakeholders.
The QA Engineer will work closely with the entire client's project team to review the overall requirements, develop test plans and test cases, identify defects, and push them to resolution, and contribute to successfully launching resulting solutions.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesCollaborate to define the criteria that must be met for each user story to be considered as done.Help estimate the scope and size of testing effort for each user story.Create detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases.Execute test cases that have been written.Design test processes and procedures to ensure an end-to-end regression test suite to reduce repetitive manual testing.Identify, report and track incidents, defects, or bugs until their resolution; perform root cause analysis as required.Identify Regression test cases.Identify manual test cases suitable for Automation.QualificationsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science or information Technology related disciplines.5+ years of experience in QA and Testing Projects.Strong English (written and verbal) communication skills.Strong analysis abilities and a high level of customer service to perform exceptional work.Proficiency in SQL for querying databases.Required SkillsExperience working in some industries such as financial, banking, healthcare, retail, and high technology.Experience developing and executing tests in Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing.Strong analysis abilities and design test scenarios and test cases.Solid skills at using Test Management and Defect Management Tools (e.g., ALM, Test Manager, Bugzilla, JIRA, Zephyr, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Strong skills with database management systems for data querying purposes (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
Familiarity with agile / scrum.Continuous learner, innovator, and collaborator.Be able to demo appropriate testing actions to team members and stakeholders.Turn high-level requirements into test cases through the user story refinement process.Experience with Web Services testing using tools like Postman.Good knowledge in UI, regression, performance, acceptance, and ad hoc testing.Knowledge of testing integrations, end-to-end system processes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated ability to think outside the box.Perficient full-time employees receive complete and competitive benefits.
