Overview
Description Perform Manufacturing Engineering tasks to ensure the delivery of safe and compliant materials, equipment, and processes for the Company’s business, taking a leadership role throughout the development of assigned projects. Req Number ENG-25-00074
Responsibilities
- Comply with Safety requirements during the execution of the assignments
- Create, trial, and close out open issues related to current and new extrusion plastics and paint processes
- Support Manufacturing Plant on Quality, Process and Equipment issues
- Work with different disciplines to co-develop and launch new materials
- Provide purchasing functions for supplier evaluation, negotiation, and agreements
- Assist in NDA agreements for all potential suppliers
- Fully support the Product Development Teams in implementing new products
- Implement new extrusion and paint technologies to improve the actual process or product, resulting in cost saving, higher quality, or increased capacity
- Preferred experience with industrial equipment for extrusion, paint, or injection molding process
- Required experience installing new equipment and launching the new processes, manage budget
- Familiarity with automotive interiors manufacturing systems, tools, processes, materials, PFD, PFMEA and QCP
- Understand technical specifications and set tolerances; preferred knowledge of DOE (Design of Experiments)
- Able to summarize and present data in a structured and understandable manner; strong organization and highly effective problem-solving skills
