Senior Sales Manager - Account SalesGE Vernova is seeking an energetic, results-driven Account Manager to lead the relationship at a commercial level with two key accounts for the Gas Services business.As the Account Manager, you will partner closely with Contract Performance Managers at different sites to develop a true One Team / ITR approach for the management and development of sales opportunities.
You will lead customer-facing efforts to originate, develop and win business, including selling parts, repairs, services and upgrades, and developing Account Management strategies to support customer needs.The role is guided by commercial practices and policies, potentially shaped by long-term maintenance contracts.
It requires significant commercial judgment and moderate autonomy to enter into / execute commercial arrangements and develop strategies.
You will work closely with CPMs to identify site needs and progress sales opportunities to closure, bridging customer needs with business priorities and objectives.
Roles And Responsibilities
Responsible for a services sales budget for specific key accounts, including selling products, services, parts, solutions, or projects.
Develop specialized knowledge of the latest commercial developments and contribute to defining commercial strategies to identify customer needs and develop sales opportunities.
Serve as the point of contact for the customer to address commercial needs, including implementing the ITO process and understanding the customer's purchasing process.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the process and customer business; understand competition and differentiators in the market.
Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns, or customers.
Take new perspectives on existing solutions.
Use technical experience and data analysis to support recommendations.
Use multiple internal and limited external sources to inform decisions.
Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
May lead small projects with moderate risks and resources.
Build consensus and develop persuasion skills to influence others in the field.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, marketing, or finance from an accredited university.
More than 10 years of experience in sales or execution of power generation, services, or industrial products or projects.
Knowledge of the Power Generation industry and its fundamentals.
Experience with Services offerings; parts, repairs, upgrades and field services.
Fluency in English & Spanish (written & spoken).
