HSE ENGINEER

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

Implement, promote, comply, prevent, monitor and supervise hygiene, safety and environmental standards in accordance with the legal framework of the STPS, Environmental Management System ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, in the workplace for both workers and staff. external person who carries out work in the company in addition to reducing the risks that arise daily in the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure courses on HSE matters : Safe handling of forklifts, Working at heights, Risk Assessment, Safety Regulations, safe lifting of cargo, protective guards, EMS, Handling of fire extinguishers, evacuation plan and others determined by the organization.

Grant and inspect permits for : Work at heights, electrical work, welding and cutting and work in space confined.

Detection of unsafe acts and conditions.

Schedule-develop meetings of the safety and hygiene committees.

Supervision of contractors in the development of activities within the company.

Carry out inspection according to the program of : Fire extinguishers, Eyewashes, Spill Equipment, first aid kits, emergency lamps, ladders, harnesses, life cables, welding and cutting equipment, chemical cabinets.

Support in security validation of equipment / production areas.

Ergonomic analysis.

Development of risk analysis of activities according to NOM-004-STPS.

Managing chemical and waste warehouses.

Verify the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Generation and control of hazardous waste and special handling manifests.

Maintain strict control of hazardous waste and special handling logs.

Carry out validations of machinery and / or equipment.

Verify the appropriate conditions for the safe development of activities, preventing environmental contamination.

Participate and comply with the IATF 16949 quality management system,ISO 14001 environmental management system, ISO 45001 Safety management system requirements corresponding to your position and other audits determined by the company, prepare evidence of compliance and support audits.

Advise on the investigation of SST and environmental incidents and accidents and participate in the definition of Preventive and Corrective Actions.

Participate in the identification of opportunities for improvement by carrying out tours of the facilities to detect unsafe acts and conditions, as well as ensuring compliance with them.

Ensure document control in accordance with IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001.

Ensure the inventory of chemicals in warehouses.

Monthly incident report and investigation thereof.

RME & RP waste shipment logistics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Professional Degree

Minimum 5 years of experience in EH&S

Basic knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
