Engineering Manager

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct projects, creating detailed plans and integrating technical activities.
• Direct the work and priorities of Manufacturing Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, Test Development & Test Engineers, and Continuous Improvement teams.
• Develop engineering resources, facility plans, and plant layout.
• Create and implement engineering tools, practices, and standards across the organization.
• Establish technical direction for engineering tools and practices.
• Set cycle times for the planning group and develop policies, procedures, and documentation for engineering work.
• Approve product designs and changes, ensuring alignment with NPIs in costing, resources, and manufacturing.
• Lead Test Systems Development for NPIs or improvements to the actual system.
• Manage labor cost and routing for products, analyze technology and market demand to assess project feasibility.
• Perform administrative functions such as reviewing reports, approving expenditures, and enforcing procurement rules.
• Present proposals, reports, and findings to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Set scientific and technical goals within broad outlines from senior management.
• Document project progress, resolve issues, and maintain test data worksheets.
• Support site investigations, asset management, and capital project management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
