Import – Export – Logistics and Indirect Purchaser
It's not just about your career or job title... It's about who you are and the impact you will make on the world. Because whether it's for each other or our customers, we put People First. When our people come together, we expand the possible and continuously look for ways to improve what we create and how we do it. If you are constantly striving to grow, you're in good company. We are revolutionizing the way the world moves for future generations, and we want someone who is ready to move with us.
Who will you be working with?
As a Traffic Coordinator, you will collaborate with the Materials, Customs, Finance team, and Brokers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all materials arriving at the borders are not delayed due to paperwork issues. You will also support internal customers by providing updates on the status of materials at the border and supplying necessary information to the Customs and Finance teams. Additionally, you will create a tax and customs budget and track all expenses to stay within this budget. As a member of the Field Services Americas team, you will help our customer (Ferromex) maintain their fleet of Wabtec locomotives by sourcing, negotiating, and procuring a wide range of indirect goods and services to support the overall business operations.
How will you make a difference?
As a Traffic Coordinator, you will oversee the coordination of importing and exporting materials once they arrive at the border. By ensuring the correct paperwork is in place, you will facilitate the swift movement of materials across the border, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will manage all relevant information to minimize tax payments and ensure compliance while working with the Customs Team. Additionally, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, identify suitable suppliers, and manage the procurement process to ensure timely delivery and cost‐effective solutions. The Indirect Buyer plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient and cost‐effective supply chains for non‐production‐related items, such as office supplies, IT equipment, facilities management services, and other indirect materials and services for Ferromex sites.
