We are looking for an experienced Lead Java Developer to join our team and take on a key leadership role in developing and supporting our client’s infrastructure, integrations, and sustainable solutions, including CI / CD, monitoring, and caching services.
As a Lead Java Developer, you will guide and mentor team members, oversee technical decision-making, and ensure that best practices and high-quality standards are upheld in every project. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the enhancement of existing Java-based infrastructure and associated microservices
- Provide technical leadership in evaluating the performance impact and scalability of new feature designs
- Act as an escalation point to troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability bottlenecks, leveraging expertise in systems tuning and APM tools like Dynatrace
- Collaborate with internal teams, multiple 3rd parties, and stakeholders to manage and optimize integration layers efficiently
- Oversee the development and maintenance of build scripts and ensure the integrity and efficiency of CI / CD pipelines
- Utilize advanced administration skills to maintain high availability and reliability of mission-critical systems
- Establish and uphold proper monitoring and logging infrastructure for all applications
- Drive strategic technological improvements, identify risks, and ensure alignment with business goals
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior and senior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
Requirements
5+ years of professional experience in Java development and infrastructure supportAt least 1 year of relevant leadership experienceStrong understanding of the Commerce domain, including systems, platforms, and integrationsDeep knowledge of Java and Microservices architecture with hands-on experience modifying and working with infrastructure codeProven background in performance evaluation, scalability assessments, and troubleshootingSignificant experience with APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace) and advanced systems tuning techniquesStrong expertise in CI / CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, Rundeck, GitLab, Artifactory, or SonarQubeSolid understanding of networking and infrastructure concepts, with the ability to guide decision-making and solutionsExtensive experience in build tools like Maven and GradleProficiency in managing 3rd-party integration layers and related technologiesAdvanced skills in administering and managing caching systems like Redis, Memcached, or MongoDBExcellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)Nice to have
Significant experience in Oracle ATG development and support, with the ability to guide teams in adopting best practicesExpertise in Azure Cloud solutions, including VMs, Redis, Logic and Function Apps, ARM templates, and Azure CLIThorough understanding of Kubernetes (AKS, ArgoCD) and scripting languages like Bash or Gradle, with the ability to implement best practicesAdvanced knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, AWX, or TerraformDemonstrated experience with applications such as JBoss and Spring Boot in an enterprise environmentWe offer
